The first review from Auto Express is in! 3/5 stars

The 500X is the right car at the right time for Fiat, and translates the 500's retro styling brilliantly into a more rugged, practical package with a wider appeal. It's impossible to justify this range-topping model because of its lacklustre powertrain, but luckily the smaller engines with manual gearboxes perform much better, and would score four stars. Ride quality is an issue on bigger wheels, but there's nothing wrong with the sharp handling and superb high-speed refinement. The 500 sub-brand is in safe hands.

You should not its not the 500x as a whole that they rate 3 stars -they have said it's just this engine/gearbox combo that gets 3 stars and otherwise it'd get 4 stars, which it does in their review of the 1.4 MultiAir petrol

I didn't realise they had more than one review until Fiat Fan pointed it out.
Here are the others: Fiat 500X 1.4 MultiAir Lounge review -http://www.autoexpress.co.uk/fiat/500/89493/fiat-500x-14-multiair-lounge-review

Thanks - these reviews are much more reassuring than the first one Dan posted.

I know it can be quite worrying when you read a bad review but go by what you like the best and just use the reviews as a bit of a guide really.

I think we need to test these out for ourselves, the 500l has been rated as one of the worst cars you can buy in the UK today!

Yes that is troublesome and certainly puts an element of doubt into your mind doesn't it.
